About this course

What is it?

The Esports Short Course is designed to help learners who have a passion for competitive gaming, and a general interest in esports, prove a range of future-ready skills to set them on a pathway towards a career in the world of esports.

Topics are set to include setting up esports teams and tournaments, careers in esports, and the international impact of this multi-billion pound industry which attracts hundreds of millions of viewers. 

The course has been created by James Fraser-Murison, a globally recognised esports speaker and consultant, and co-author of the world’s first Esports BTEC:

“Esports is more than just competitive gaming – it’s a gateway to developing essential skills, building confidence and preparing learners for the jobs of tomorrow.”

By completing a range of challenges, learners can build up evidence of skills in areas such as decision-making, communication and teamwork, all highly beneficial for pursuing a career in the esports industry.
