Customised accreditation

ASDAN’s customised accreditation provides curriculum endorsement by us as a nationally recognised awarding body. It can also give your organisation opportunities to build links between education providers and your local community.

ASDAN accrediting your course can lead to a certificate for a young person who has engaged in an activity they are passionate about to reward their achievements, which can also have a positive impact on their engagement in other education.

As additional benefits, the certificate will feature your organisation’s logo and you will be able to access our customised accreditation branding materials.

ASDAN’s Customised Accreditation is designed for organisations working with learners who seek recognition for meaningful, skills-based learning. It offers a flexible framework to celebrate achievement, promote engagement and support the development of essential life and work skills.

Customised Accreditation is particularly suited to:

• Education and youth organisations aiming to have their course recognised by a UK awarding organisation
• Schools and colleges seeking certificated outcomes for enrichment, PSHE or curriculum-linked activities
• Organisations delivering programmes across multiple centres, providing consistent and recognised outcomes for all participants
• Charities and voluntary groups working to boost engagement in community projects while developing young people’s confidence, communication, teamwork and independence

How customised accreditation works

Organisations seeking to use ASDAN to accredit their course can complete our Expression of Interest form. We will then meet with you to discuss your requirements and review your learning materials.

Once a contract is in place we will create your bespoke certificate and provide access to our customised accreditation branding materials. A member of the team will be in touch with you after six months to check on your progress ahead of the formal annual review.

How customised accreditation contributes

Customised programmes are worth up to three ASDAN curriculum credits.

Learners who complete a customised programme can then use these credits towards the Personal Development Programmes (Bronze, Silver, Gold) or the Certificate of Personal Effectiveness at Levels 1 and 2.

Universities award

Centres registered for customised accreditation have the option to use ASDAN’s Universities Award as the outcome for their agreed programme. It can enhance the career paths and UCAS applications of post-16 student of all abilities, supporting progression to higher education or employment.
