Assessment criteria
(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)
The learner can:
- Find at least six letters of the alphabet by name or sound
- Attempt to write at least ten letters of the alphabet by tracing over of copying the letters
- Practice writing at least six capital letters correctly by copying or tracing them, including their own initials
- Write their first name using a capital letter on at least three occasions, this could be traced or copied if needed
- Write a list of at least three names using a capital letter at the start of each name on two occasions, the names can be traced or copied if needed
