    Be able to read at least one simple sentence containing four to six words.

  • 2 .  

    Be able to read at least two simple four to six word sentences and then answer multiple choice questions about them.

The learner can:

  • Read a simple sentence, supported by visuals if necessary
  • Rearrange a cut-up version of the sentence by placing the words in the correct order
  • Read two simple sentences and respond to multiple-choice questions about them
  • Answer two multiple-choice questions, each offering two answer options, based on the sentences read
  • Answer two multiple-choice questions, each offering three answer options, to show comprehension of the sentences
