The learner will:

  • 1 .  

    Be able to deliver messages to reception or to other teaching staff.

  • 2 .  

    Be able to circulate around the room without being prompted while the students are working.

  • 3 .  

    Be able to anticipate when something needs doing and do it without prompting

  • 4 .  

    Be able to feedback observations at the end of the lesson to the teacher.

Assessment criteria

(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)

The learner can:

  • Relay a message accurately on at least two occasions
  • Bring a response back to a class teacher on one occasion
  • Stand up and move round the room on three separate occasions
  • Observe what the students are doing discreetly on three separate occasions
  • Be proactive and intervene before the teacher asks on at least two occasions eg. wiping the board, clearing up if someone spills something
  • Inform the teacher about any useful observations they have made about the students on at least two occasions eg. learning points or behavioural issues that have been missed
