The learner can:

  • Use a map with a key to find the location of a local hospital
  • State the purpose of the following health facilities:
    • doctors surgery
    • optician
    • pharmacy
    • hospital
  • Use the Internet to find the phone number for each of the above local health facilities 
  • Make an appointment with one of the above by dialling the correct number and communicating with the person on the other end of the phone
  • Measure accurately to the nearest cm the height of two people
  • Use a set of bathroom scales to weigh themselves and one other person
  • Use a thermometer to measure someone's temperature
