The learner can:

  • Respond to prompts to find out about the favourite sports of people in the group
  • Ask a question to learn information e.g. "what is your favourite football team?"
  • Respond to a prompt to listen to the response of others
  • Complete a tick chart to record the preferences of the group (with support where appropriate)
  • Recognise 10 symbols relating to sports
  • Read and match eight symbols e.g. football to goal, goggles to swimming pool 
  • Match letters to write the name of a sport or athlete
