The learner can:

  • State a definition of a victim and describe in own words
  • Identify at least seven criminal acts and the possible victims of each criminal act
  • Discuss and prioritise levels of seriousness for victims of the seven criminal acts
  • Identify specific effects of being a victim and provide at least three examples
  • Identify and explain how victims are portrayed through different media reports
  • Identify at least three areas where a victim may need specific help as a result of a crime against them
  • Show a comparison between criminal acts to identify similar needs and requirements that all victims might have
