- Explore the puzzle pieces by touch
- Engage with an adult while games are played with pieces; for example dog piece is hidden in sand or put on an adults' head
- Complete four inset puzzle, with support if needed
- Reach for the pieces and or look at the pieces
- Feel the pieces of a four-piece puzzle
- Complete with support four-piece puzzles on two occasions
