    Be able to identify and label the equipment and clothing used for skiing.

    Be able to take part in a series of ski lessons.

(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)

The learner can:

  • Identify the clothing they will need to wear on the ski slope
  • Give a reason why at least one item of clothing is required eg helmet to protect head, gloves to keep hands warm
  • Identify the equipment they will need to take part
  • Demonstrate how to put ski equipment and clothing on correctly
  • Demonstrate how to get to the top of the slope safely
  • Demonstrate the triangle shape (the plough) to slow down and stop
  • Demonstrate all of the above consistently over time
