. Find out about geocaching and research what they must do to create their own course.

. Take part in four Geocache courses to learn how to do geocaching, finding a variety of caches.

. Design a geocache course, and the caches, referring to the advise given by the Geocache website.

Assessment criteria
(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)
The learner can:
- Research on the internet about geocaching
- Explain what geocaching is
- Explain what they need to do, to make their own course
- Demonstrate that they have set up and can use the geocaching app
- Participate in four geocaching activities
- Keep a record of caches that could be useful when designing their own course and caches, this could be using photos, drawings or making notes
- Explain what they learnt about geocaching
- Explain their thoughts about the caches they found
- Select a safe and suitable course location, with support
- Partake in a walk on the chosen course to check it is ok
- Choose the location for each cache whilst on the walk
- Choose the cache designs, referring to the Geocache website to ensure they meet the criteria
- Create the cache designs
