The learner can:

  • Explore at least two world rivers using google maps
  • Watch videos of at least two different world rivers and use preferred communication device to communicate what they can see
  • Match at least two different river terminologies to the corresponding picture (e.g., waterfall, bank)
  • Label a river picture with at least three different things commonly found (e.g., boats, pondweed, ducks)


  • Work with a peer to create a foil river and race a boat down the river
  • Use preferred communication device to identify whose boat won
  • Engage in two different river themed art activities
  • Using preferred communication device, identify the appropriate colour required for the rive
