The learner can:
- Locate braille text in an unfamiliar book or on a page and read the uncontracted braille text
- Discriminate their own name from other names when reading
- Produce written tasks on a Perkins or electronic brailler tasks using uncontracted alphabetic braille signs
- Accurately produce punctuation (capital indicator, full stop and comma) in braille when writing
- Identify punctuation (capital indicator, full stop and comma) in longer sentences when reading braille text
