  • Differentiate between vehicles travelling on the main road and those on the side road
  • Understand which direction a vehicle is approaching from
  • Indent to an appropriate place along the side road
  • Position their cane correctly by the kerb
  • Use any functional vision and hearing to determine if the road is safe to cross
