Assessment criteria
(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)
The learner can:
- Identify a minimum of two factors involved in a balanced diet.
- State 3 types of food for each element of the Eatwell Plate.
- Review current diet using his/her findings and state at least two changes he/she would make.
- Explain each persons dietary needs ( allergies / vegetarian etc )
- Research healthy starters, mains, and puddings that can be cooked using stated budget, identifying appropriate recipes. Justify why this combination of recipes has been chosen.
- Identify the cost of the ingredients for the meal.
- Explain at least one problem that may arise or did arise when budgeting for the meal.
