- Prepare a shopping list to take with them
- Identify which shop/s they will visit
- Collect personal equipment needed for a shopping trip e.g. money, shopping bags, bank cards
- Follow instructions for going shopping
- Locate a trolley or basket
- Use signage to locate items
- Make simple choices whilst shopping e.g. selecting an item from a group
- Select items on the shopping list and put them in the trolley or basket
- Use a self-checkout or till to pay for items
- Exchange money for items
