  • 1 .   Identify and describe three aspects of personal identity, including hobbies, beliefs, and cultural background, using appropriate methods of communication.
  • 2 .   Recognise and describe how other people’s preferences and identities may differ from their own.

Assessment criteria

(What the learner need to demonstrate in order to meet the learning outcome)

The learner can:

  • Select three aspects of personal identity such as: A hobby (e.g. playing football, drawing), A belief (e.g. religious practice, personal values), A background detail (e.g. place of birth, family traditions)
  • Describe each aspect using one or more of the following methods: Words: Write or say “I like drawing because it helps me relax.”, Pictures: Use drawings or photos to represent hobbies or beliefs
  • Create a personal identity profile. Combine the descriptions into a poster, booklet, or digital presentation. Share the profile with a peer or group and answer simple questions about the choices made
  • Identify at least two differences between their own preferences or identity and those of another person, such as: “I like playing video games, but my friend prefers reading books.” “I eat meat, but my classmate is vegetarian”
  • Describe how these differences are part of what makes people unique, using: roleplay or discussion, written work, pictures or drawings
