The learner can:
- Identify four different soil types
- Prepare a pot containing each soil type eg clay, chalky, sandy, loamy soil
- Correctly label each soil type pot using a method of identification to meet their need eg words, photograph, symbol
- Pot up four (as near identical as possible) plug plants into prepared soil pots, one plant in each soil type
- Water each pot of differing soil type with similar amounts of water
