- Annotate a simple map using capital letters for each place on the map
- Write a simple report of something they have done using a capital I for the pronoun ‘I’
- Write their own name correctly on at least three occasions
- Write at least two friend’s names correctly
- Write a list of items, spelling at least five simple words correctly
