The learner can:

  • Select appropriate equipment for use with a chosen animal
  • Design a course that includes at least four different activities
  • Adapt the design to suit different animal abilities or behaviours


  • Set out agility equipment independently, checking it is safe and secure
  • Lead an animal through the agility course, demonstrating control and safe handling
  • Make adjustments to the route or guidance depending on the animal’s response
