  • Research and describe different types of enrichment (e.g. physical, sensory, social, feeding-based)
  • Design a programme of at least three enrichment activities for a chosen animal
  • Explain how the programme supports the animal’s physical and mental wellbeing


  • Prepare the environment and equipment for enrichment activities independently
  • Carry out the activities safely, demonstrating effective animal handling skills
  • Adapt the activity in response to animal behaviour or needs
